Tuusula has played a remarkable role in the military history of Helsinki. During this tour, we can wander through the history of Sweden-Finland military forces rehearsing their war skills, then continue to the history of Tuusula in the time of autonomy and independence.
This tour is available to be done with transport service from Helsinki to Tuusula. We will visit the abandoned army locations in Hyrylä area, hear the story of old wooden and red-brick barracks and rehearsal fields and visit the site where the Orthodox church was located.
