Ketunpoika's dried raspberry leaves
Raspberry is a sprout that thrives in open areas such as harvested forest areas, ditch edges and cliffs. It is an easily spread perennial herb; a pioneer plant that loves to take up harvested areas by utilizing the nitrogen resources of the soil and then grow berries in its new habitat for a few years.
Raspberry's Latin genus name Rubus means red and the species name, idaeus, refers to its growing site on Mount Ida. Raspberry leaves can be used as an ingredient to make good tasty tea and can already be harvested in early spring for salads and dishes. Tea leaves are used either fresh, dried or ground. The leaves contain 400 mg / 100 g of vitamin C; in Russian studies up to twice this amount. Raspberry is one of the trade herbs in Finland. Ketunpoika's Dried Raspberry Leaves powder includes Raspberry (Rubus idaeus) leaves that have been picked, dried and packed by Ketunretket in Järvenpää, Finland. Packed in 1 dl paper bag, weight 17 grams. Product number 032 |
