Ketunpoika's dried fireweed flowers

Fireweed is a perennial grass that thrives in open areas and is common throughout Finland. Fireweed is one of the commercial herbs in Finland, and can be used in tea mixtures.

Fireweed leaves and flowers can be used as herbal remedies. Its tanning substances reduce mucous membranes, cleanse the wounds and suppress bleeding.

Fireweed also has an anti-inflammatory effect and has been used as a gargle for mouth and throat infections. In folk medicine, it has been used to treat stomach ailments.

Ketunpoika's Dried Fireweed Flowers include Fireweed (Epibolium angustifolium) flowers, that have been picked, dried and packed by Ketunretket in Järvenpää, Finland. They are packed in 0,1 l paper bag, weight 25 grams.
