Ketunpoika's chokeberry-blueberry jam

  Chokeberry (Aronia mitschurinii) is a bushberry in the chokeberry family. The berries are black and shiny and rich in vitamin C. The berries are well suitable eg. for jams and jellies.

Blueberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) is a heather plant (Ericaceae) of the genus Vaccinium which produces edible berries. It is a typical coniferous forest plant whose sprigs can keep growing for up to 30 years. It thrives in herb-rich, mesic forests of southern Finland.  Blueberry is the second most important commercial natural berry in Finland.
